This is the personal site of Andrei Pustovoi. All I need is modest analytics: to understand where people come from and what they read. Below is an honest description of what is collected and when.
First-party counter (always on)
The site sends an anonymous hit to its own server: the page, the language, the traffic source (UTM tags). No cookies, no identifiers, no visitor profile. This is the only data collection before your decision in the consent banner.
Third-party analytics: only after consent
Until you press the accept button in the banner, no third-party script is loaded and no request leaves for any third-party service. The decision is stored in your browser (localStorage, key sl_consent); withdrawing it is as easy as granting: use the button below, or clear the site data.
PostHog (EU)
Product analytics: page views, clicks, session recordings. The data is processed on PostHog servers in the European Union.
Google Analytics
Google web analytics (GA4): visits, traffic sources, events. Loads only after consent.
Yandex Metrica and Webvisor
Yandex web analytics: visits, sources, click maps. Webvisor is enabled: it records session activity (mouse movement, scrolling, clicks). The Metrica script loads only after consent, so no recording happens before it.
Data processors
PostHog Inc., Google (Google Analytics) and Yandex (Yandex Metrica) process the analytics data on my behalf as processors. I do not sell the data or share it with anyone else.
